How it works

One bill, followed into a report.

01 · A year begins

April starts with one bill.

FY 2025-26 runs from 01/04/2025 to 31/03/2026, and each month has its place on the vein. April's electricity bill is the first to arrive.

02 · Evidence becomes data

We read 40,12,000 kWh. Look right?

AI reads the bill and proposes the figure, with the page it came from. A reviewer checks it and can correct the value or the period. Only an accepted figure enters the ledger.

03 · The factor joins

The factor comes with its source.

Each calculation freezes the factor, its source and edition, and the year it applies to. The working stays in view: 4,012 MWh × 0.675 = 2,708.10 tCO2e.

05 · Twelve months, one year

Twelve bills make the year.

April to March fill in as the bills arrive. Coal and diesel join grid electricity, and the plant's Scope 1 and Scope 2 add up.

06 · What applies

What applies to Kalpit Textiles?

Each obligation is marked Applies, Does not apply or Cannot yet tell, with the reason and the citation. When an input is missing, CarbonNeeti asks for it instead of guessing.

Applicability · FY 2025-26

SEBI BRSRApplies

Listed, and within the top 1,000 by market capitalisation (sample).

CCTSCannot yet tellApplies

The entity operates in a CCTS sector (textiles) but has no CCTS registration number recorded for its plant. To settle it, record each plant's CCTS registration number.

Recorded and found in the notified list. Applies after mid-June 2026.

EU CBAMDoes not apply

CBAM covers cement, iron & steel, aluminium, fertilisers, electricity and hydrogen; this entity's sector is not among them.

07 · The reports

We prepare. You file.

The same figures go into each report that needs them. The year's figures go into the BRSR report. The CCTS report uses the baseline-year grid factor BEE fixes for the plant.

Unit 1's CO2 and PFCs inside the CCTS boundary, with Form A as Annex A. Your ACVA (Accredited Carbon Verification Agency) verifies it; you submit it on BEE's ICM portal.

No CBAM output: it doesn't apply to this mill. Prepared by CarbonNeeti. Filed by Kalpit Textiles Limited.

08 · Trace it back

Trace a reported figure back to its bill.

Your verifier opens a plant's emissions and chooses Trace on the figure. The path runs back through the calculation and the factor to the monthly reading, and opens the page of the bill.

09 · A question

The question stays on the record.

The pre-check asks whether coal's calorific value was measured or the national default. The verifier raises a query. S.K. answers in writing. Only a verifier can resolve it, not your team, and a note is required.

Coal NCV: measured or national default?

Raised as a query · S.K. answers

OpenRespondedResolved

S.K., 14/06/2026: We use the national default, 19.6 GJ/t. Our lab's FY 2025-26 results are in the evidence index as E-31.

Verifier, 16/06/2026: National default NCV accepted; lab results reviewed. Resolved with this note, and every step is in the audit trail.

10 · The year closes

The report leaves. The trail stays.

FY 2025-26 was locked on 30/06/2026 and restated as v2 on 06/10/2026; its readings and figures are frozen. Correcting a locked year is a declared restatement, and the locked version stays on record.

Who it's for

The people who enter the data, and the people who sign.

  • Plant energy teams

Enter monthly electricity, fuel and production data. Upload the bill, and a reviewer confirms what we read.

  • EHS teams

Keep each plant's environmental data next to the documents it came from.

  • Finance and accounts

Supply invoices and your own ESG spreadsheets. Smart Import suggests the mapping. Saving it approves no figure: imported values count as entered until they are sent for review and a checker approves them.

  • Sustainability and ESG teams

Run the year: what applies, who owes which data, review, and the reports.

  • Compliance officers

Check and accept figures. Nobody approves their own submission.

  • CFOs, company secretaries, sustainability heads

See what applies, what's ready and what's blocked before you sign.

  • Consultants

Run several client companies from one login. Each client grants access, and each client's data stays separate.

  • Verifiers and assurance professionals

Start from the year's pre-check findings, raise queries on findings, and resolve them with a note.

The reports

One record, and every report that needs it.

  • BRSR and BRSR Core

A PDF, plus a partial XBRL file that you complete in the exchange's BRSR utility before filing.

  • CCTS GHG emission report

Unit 1's CO2 and PFCs inside the CCTS boundary, with Form A as Annex A. Your ACVA (Accredited Carbon Verification Agency) verifies it; you submit it on BEE's ICM portal.

GEI under the CCTS rule, baseline-year grid factor 0.727 (sample)1.3384
  • CDP Climate

The report, plus a transcription workbook for the CDP Portal.

  • GRI and TCFD

Framework reports from the same ledger as your BRSR.

  • SBTi

Target tracking, with a company-structure CSV for the SBTi portal.

  • EU CBAM operator's summary emissions report

For cement, iron and steel, aluminium, fertiliser, electricity and hydrogen exporters: the summary set by Annex IV to Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/2547, point 1.2, for your verifier and EU importer, who files the annual CBAM declaration (the first, for 2026 imports, by 30/09/2027).

CarbonNeeti prepares these documents. Your company files them; your ACVA verifies the CCTS report; your EU importer files the annual CBAM declaration.

Review and locking

Someone else approves what you submit.

AI proposes, a person accepts

Figures read from a bill stay proposals until a reviewer accepts them. Accepted figures enter the ledger linked to their page.

Nobody approves their own work

Scope 1 and 2 readings, ESG figures, Scope 3 activities and framework reports go Submitted › Under review › Approved or Rejected; Changes requested sends one back to Draft. Data-entry users can't approve a figure.

A locked year stays locked

Locking freezes readings, calculations, Scope 3, ESG figures and imports. Reopening is a declared restatement with a reason.

Everything leaves a trail

Each change is written to an append-only, hash-chained audit trail.

Security

What we can tell you today.

We only list what our own records support.

  • Our servers are in France. Daily backups are kept in Singapore, and the last 7 are kept.
  • Five roles for your team, and approvals are enforced by the product: nobody reviews their own submission.
  • HTTPS everywhere. The database and cache aren't reachable from the internet.
  • Captcha at sign-in, a pause of up to 15 minutes after 5 failed sign-ins on one email from one IP address, and single-use reset links that expire after an hour.
  • Consultants only see clients who granted them access, and access can be revoked.
  • Data travels over TLS, passwords are stored as hashes, and backups are encrypted. The database and the files you upload are not encrypted by our software.

Questions

Does CarbonNeeti file our reports?

No. CarbonNeeti prepares them. Your company files the BRSR on NSE and BSE; your ACVA verifies the CCTS report and you submit it on BEE's ICM portal; your EU importer files the annual CBAM declaration.

Which grid factor do you use for FY 2025-26?

CEA CO2 Baseline Database v22.0, all-India weighted average: 0.675 tCO2/MWh, for the BRSR and the GHG inventory; CCTS uses the baseline-year factor BEE fixes. Each calculation freezes its factor and source, and Emissions shows them under "How it adds up".

Is the AI's reading final?

No. AI proposes a figure from the bill. A reviewer checks it against the page, can correct the value and period, and accepts it. Only accepted figures enter the ledger. AI reads a document only if the person uploading it has allowed AI reading, at sign-up or later in their profile.

We already keep ESG data in spreadsheets.

Smart Import reads your own sheets. AI suggests how columns map. Saving the mapping approves no figure: imported values count as entered until they are sent for review and a checker approves them. You can preview, commit and roll back.

What if an obligation doesn't apply to us?

Each one is marked Applies, Does not apply or Cannot yet tell, with the reason and the citation. When it can't tell, it says what to record.
